If Tea Could Talk

I tried something new on a whim today.

An Iced Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, a beautifully and naturally deep, indigo blue infusion that instantaneously brought unexpected awe to my morning.

"See? If you don't ever change things up you won't get to experience even more joy, Joy!" I thought to myself.

But there was more. A little wink from the cashier insisted I take the side of lemon. Okay, if it makes her happy lol.

Imagine HER delight seeing my face light up after squeezing in the lemon, as the acidity of the juice transformed the anthocyanins from vibrant blue into a lively, bright purple within seconds.

I was mesmerized and certain there was a message in all this. How could there not be, this was all on a whim and yet whimsy and wonder unfolded.

Surely, there was some insight to take back to my clients, retreat goers, and women's groups from this display.

Ah, yes. If the tea were talking, I ventured, it would tell them that a beautiful transformation can come from what seems like the smallest and most subtle of changes.

And that change can reveal powerful colors they may have never known they carried otherwise.

All they need, the tea would go on to say, is to not be afraid to squeeze a little juice into the parts of their lives that no longer feel aligned with who they are or who they want to be.

A little juice that will lighten, brighten, catalyze, or create just enough of a reaction to get started.
