What Is A Health Coach?
A health coach is a certified professional trained in behavior change related to health and wellness. They serve as a guide and accountability partner to help get you from where you are now to where you want to be in your well-being journey.
What Is My Mission?
My mission is to empower women, especially those in midlife, to build emotional resilience so that they can feel more emotionally regulated and less overwhelmed despite their health and life challenges.
What Is Emotional Resilience?
At Loon Rising, emotional resilience is defined as the ability to rise gracefully above the clouds, despite life’s storms and headwinds— and to do so with more clarity and conviction than ever before. In more common terms, emotional resilience is the ability to spring back from stresses and setbacks more quickly and more skillfully.
Why is this work important now?
Because midlife shouldn’t feel like a drop in altitude, it should feel like an ascent to even better days ahead. I want women to know their wings are not being clipped, they’re being carefully refined.

What Does the Loon Rising Experience Look Like?
Each health coaching session begins with ten minutes dedicated to The Serene Shift Method for emotional resilience. For most options, this is then followed by the Duke University Health & Well-Being Coaching Process to help you achieve your overall health & wellness goals. Through each step, you are met with compassion and heart-centered guidance. Any session or package has the option of incorporating faith-based inspiration and encouragement (Christian).
What Milestones Can Clients Expect?
The Emotional Resilience Journey includes five phases/milestones:
Week 1: Awareness–Recognition of being emotionally dysregulated or off-balance
Week 3: Understanding–Grounding in the science of the brain & The Serene Shift Method
Week 5: Self-Regulation–Applying The Serene Shift Method in and between our sessions
Week 7: Momentum–Building on emotional self-regulation skills, even teaching it to others
Week 12: Transformation–Achieving enhanced well-being and the confidence to self sustain
Lift Session – 1 x 30 Minutes
Experience emotional regulation and a sense of calm followed by at least one concrete action & accountability step towards enhanced health & well-being.
Lift Plus Session – 1 x 60 Minutes
Achieve the same emotional regulation and calming benefits as the Lift Session, but with enhanced direction and resources for your overall health goals.
3-Day Reset Package – 3 x 15 Minutes
Overcome or bounce back from an immediate stressor or setback with three fifteen minute sessions (preferably consecutive days) dedicated to The Serene Shift Method.
Soar Package – 6 x 60 Minutes Package
Designed for long-term transformation, this package offers a personalized health and accountability plan as well as the confidence and skillset for ongoing success once our work together ends, typically within 90 days.
Who Is This For?
I partner with women, particularly in midlife, who carry the weight of emotional dysregulation. Typical client profiles include:
The Overwhelmed Mid-Lifer: Female phenoms (obviously) discovering the overwhelm that midlife can bring, from career changes and care-taking to chronic stress, anxiety, health challenges and hormonal shifts—and not knowing where to start first.
The Underwhelmed Mid-Lifer: Women warriors (no question) feeling low in mood, energy and motivation—and therefore feeling stuck and powerless in achieving a better sense of well-being.
While my focus is on this season of life, any woman seeking emotional renewal and resilience is welcome here.
