Air Time: Sharing the Serene Shift MEthod

What a joy to share air time on my local Chamber of Commerce’s radio show!

I was excited to elaborate on one of the things that makes the experience at Loon Rising unique for a client—The Serene Shift Method that I adapted from an emotional resilience program implemented at the University of Georgia, Athens, designed to increase emotional resilience and decrease burnout for its medical residents and students.

For Loon Rising, I’ve adapted the method to be tailored to women in midlife who are overwhelmed with the health and life challenges they are facing in this season of their lives. From being overwhelmed with chronic conditions, career transitions, or changing hormones to being underwhelmed with low mood and a negative outlook.

I took the opportunity to describe the experience of one of my clients, a 41 year old night shift nurse, who was feeling low mood and low energy--and went from meh to motivated and emotionally dysregulated to empowered in a matter of weeks using The Serene Shift Method, and practicing it regularly.

I then brought listeners along on the five phases and milestones of the emotional resilience journey, including Awareness, Education, Engagement, Implementation and Transformation.

Naturally, as with any conversation, I didn’t resist finding an angle to bring up my love for coffee coffee and more coffee! 😉 I mean, I was only supporting other local businesses!! ☕

As indicated on air, to kick off the season of giving, I donated my Soar health coaching package(6 sessions each, valued at $640) for the first three women interested in building emotional resilience during midlife.

Hopefully, I’ll be invited back soon to share more client success stories and my passion for helping women to reclaim their purpose and peace through emotional resilience!
